SoftStiff

Softer snowboards are easier to press and won’t kick your ass if you make a mistake. Stiffer decks are more stable at speed and super responsive edge-to-edge. Choose your poison.

Shape

Outline Shape

Nose Sidebase Uplift

Low

The gradual side base uplift in the nose determines how the board will behave on snow. Most effected are the edge to edge performance and the uplift generated when riding powder.

Tail Sidebase Uplift

Low

The gradual side base uplift in the tail determines how the board will behave on snow. Any amount of uplift brings all the benefits of Triple Base Technology making our boards more versatile than others.

Camber Profile

Medium Camber

Camber profiles are defined from low to high. Higher camber make for more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively to get maximum performance. Lower camber boards are smoother on lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail. Higher is not always better...

3D Shape

3BT™ & Sidekick™

Combining the responsiveness of traditional tip-to-tail camber with the dynamic shaping properties of Triple Base Technology and the performance boosting Sidekick feature makes for a 3D snowboarding experience like no other.

Features

Technology

At the heart of every Bataleon is a combination of 3BT™ and positive camber. It’s an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimizes the potential for edge-catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance. From this starting point, we fine-tune each element according to the boards desired riding style.

3D shaping

SideKick™ builds on the concept of Triple Base by increasing the sidebase uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. The tips become more like a hull, boosting float in deep snow and slicing through crud. It also helps the board to roll quickly and evenly from edge to edge.

Construction

Supertubes™ are hollow carbon cylinders that are inserted directly into the core. They reinforce the camber, reduce weight and greatly increase pop. By varying their location we can fine-tune the board’s performance further.

Construction

Glassing

Tri-Ax Lamination

Our three-way fiberglass weave is light, strong and crazy responsive. We use this to beef up the flex pattern on our more aggressive boards.

Woodcore

Ultra Light Core

A 70/30 Paulownia and poplar blend that offers awesome strength to weight.

Base

Ultra Glide S

A premium, 7000-grade sintered base reserved for our high-end models. Packing more molecules into the P-tex means it’s super tough and hauls ass.

Sidewalls

Flex Walls

Our Urethane Poured Sidewalls offer exceptional shock absorption, reducing chatter and vibration for a smoother, more stable ride. Flexwalls provide flexibility and resilience, allowing the board to maintain its integrity even in extreme conditions. With superior impact resistance, they ensure your snowboard performs at its peak, season after season.

Inserts

28 Inserts

A-grade German stainless steel inserts make sure you are locked to your board. These high quality inserts can take years of binding stance switches.

Inserts

+2 Backseat Inserts

Backseat inserts are an set of extra inserts 4cm behind the bottom inserts. This allows you to set your bindings all the way back, so you can keep floating on those deep pow days. By shifting your weight more back on the board the nose stays up and the pressure on you back leg is reduced.

Layup & Laminate

Carbon Stringers

Our tried and tested carbon layups. We deploy them in different areas to fine-tune the feel of each model.

Tech

D.R.S.T. SuperTubes

Dual Radial Super Tubes, similar to DST but with four extra Super Tubes (six in total) running parallel to the board radius, delivering extra power to the edges.

Quality is not a strong point for Bataleon

Quality is awful. Bataleon customer care team is awful. Board is hard to work on. Board failed. Don't spend your money unless you want to get a new board halfway through your season.

Fun while it lasted

This board lasted half a season before is started to splinter and split. Of course the warranty team said they won't cover it even though they are quick to boast a 3 year warranty. Now I'm stuck halfway through the season and forced to spend $500 on a new board if i want to keep riding. Def won't be one from Bataleon!

Warranty Team needs to find a new job

Clearly their warranty team has been trained to not accept any warranties. Board is splitting into two and they claim it doesn't fit the criteria. I saw numerous other reviews with similar issues. Don't fall into the trap and learn from others (and my) mistake. This board won't make it through a season. The initial honeymoon phase is sweet but when it actually comes to quality equipment, don't choose Bataleon.

Poor customer care/service and poor quality

Like many of the other reviews, the quality is awful and the customer service is awful. 3 year warranty? It doesn't cover anything. My board is splitting into two and they said it's not covered. Maybe 20 days on the board. No blunt force to the area. Do better warranty and quality control teams. Don't spend your money on this brand.

Read Before Getting

I previously had the Goliath Plus 2022.

Pros
- It holds an edge better then the 2022 version
- A tad lighter
- lots of pop and good on big jumps

Cons
- The tip and tail are not as 3bt as what the 2022 version was which makes it not that great for powder. I feel like my board always catches now at the tip on little things.
- The stance set up has a gap on the front foot and ether makes you have an extra long stance or an extra short stance. Its very unfortunate cause if they didnt have the gap in the screws, it would be perfect.
- Shipping took FOREVER. I missed my whole winter break in December snowboarding with my friends cause they took so long to ship it out.

I really liked the 2022 version and the 2025 kind of feels like a downgrade. Personal preference though.
