Down for anything.

Our best-selling quiver killer features a progressive new shape for this season that squeezes out even more versatile performance. We kept the twin profile and updated it with a directional shape to make it the best of both worlds. Under the hood, we’ve kept the flex pattern super fun and boosted the pop with carbon SuperTubes in the core, while urethane sidewalls keep the ride nice and chilled in all conditions. Park day? Hot laps? Powder lines? It’s like, yeah whatever!

Softer snowboards are easier to press and won’t kick your ass if you make a mistake. Stiffer decks are more stable at speed and super responsive edge-to-edge. Choose your poison.

Maximum volume for surfy vibes in the pow, or a smaller surface area for nimble freestyle performance. This number is calculated with length, width, 3D shape and surface distribution.

What’s this board’s natural home? Full send in the park? Elbows down on the trails? Or chucking roosters somewhere off grid?

        Carbon Layup

Our traditional and time tested two-way weave of fiberglass is light, strong and responsive; keeping the board snappy without adding torsional stiffness.

Our 50-50 paulownia and poplar woods blend for optimal strength to weight properties.

        Special Sauce

Dual Super Tube. Hollow carbon core upgrades that are inserted into the core. The hollow carbon tubes greatly increase the woodcore’s pop and reduce weight.

        Carbon Lay-ups

The type and placement of fiberglass greatly influences a board’s flex and riding characteristics. Boards are built with a layer of fiberglass above and below the woodcore.

        Base Tech

Not a basic extruded base. It has the highest molecular content available for an extruded base. That means it’s super slick, durable and maintenance-free.

        Shock Walls

This is our Urethane infused sidewall technology. ShockWalls smooth out your ride and are more resistant to impact.

Triple Base Technology™ is awesome. The lifted sidebase areas at the widest points of the board make a lot of sense. The boards turn smoother and faster and it helps when you are not completely clean on your landings.

SideKick™ dramatically increases the sidebase uplift at the widest points of the nose and tail. This makes turn initiation even smoother, increases float in powder and handling of the board in rough terrain.

SuperTubes™ are hollow carbon core upgrades that are inserted into the core in 3 different configurations. The hollow carbon tubes greatly increase the woodcore’s pop and reduce weight.

        3BT works!

I've spent a week on it now, and I'm very happy with it!
I upgraded from my first beginner/intermediate board from another company because I wanted something with more flex and the 3BT sounded promising. I wasn't let down. It has outperformed my old board in every condition I threw at it. Powder, groomers and park.

You know when you're riding your board flat (not on an edge) to build speed and you hit a bump or a track, rotating the board slightly under you?
Whenever that happened the first couple of days I felt my core tighten up because muscle memory told me I was about to catch an edge and eat snow, but the 3BT saved my ass every time, letting me steer the board back on track without catching that edge. The forgiving edge initiation really gave me more confidence to progress on butters and switch riding as well as there's more room for slight error.

My only complaint is that the top sheet seems to chip very easily. A portion chipped off on my first day from riding an anchor lift with a friend where our boards would sometimes touch. Not like, banging into each other or anything. Their board was fine. The tail is similarly chipped on the opposite side for reasons unknown. I can't think of anything that might've caused it.

        What a Snowboard!

Background: I live in Switzerland and have been snowboarding for a year now. I have skated and surfed since I was 8 & 10 respectively. I'm 54 now. I am 5' 8" (176cm) and weigh 167 lbs (75.5kg). I have a Bataleon Party Wave 154cm for a 2nd season and own a Lib Tech Orca 153cm. Bataleon Whatever: I picked up the Whatever a couple of weeks ago as a rental for the rest of the season, brand new, and I will buy it. I've taken it out twice in very different conditions and spent about 7 hours on it so far. The first thing I noticed is how easy it is to ride. It took a run or two to get used to, and after that, I didn't even think about the board anymore. I could look at where I was going and figure out what I was going to do. And I've never felt this way on a snowboard outside of fresh powder days. This board is so much fun! I have ridden it in soft piste runs that are chewed up, piste runs that are iced over on the top of the slopes and bumpy, powder and a mixuture of about 5cms of powder over a hard ice like base on the piste runs, and this board took everything and made it easy. There is a flat run coming into the chair which I've never felt very comfortable doing with my Orca. I ran a comparison yesterday. The Whatever was riding it so effortlessly and not catching an edge, whereas the Orca was occassionally catching edge which quickly jerks the board. When I initiate a turn on the Bataleon Whatever, it rolls into it instead of being catchy in the case of a serrated edge board. With the Party Wave, if I'm riding on piste, it takes a while for me to get to the edge, like I have to lean over more than I would expect I'd have to, so I have to be going pretty fast or I need a steeper run. But the Whatever feels very natural. It never slides out from underneath me. The softer flex, spooned nose and tech that's in the board makes roll right over messy stuff, like lines cut when the powder was fresh and it's now compacted and hard. And the board is so light that it sets a new standard for me in what I'm looking for in a snowboard. I like to hike around to find tree runs and powder, because it seems easier at a beginner level, so I carry my board. I noticed a huge difference in weight compared to my Orca. I also bombed down a steep drop-off and into a powder bowl and did a huge carve, then took a straight line down about 250 meters further and this board did it all exceptionally well. And I've felt confident enough on it to start working on 360s. I'm making them easy with this board. The Whatever doesn't float like the Party Wave, but it keeps up with the Orca. I know these are different boards and I can't help thinking that at my ability level and age, The Whatever is a better board to be on for about 80% of the conditions I face. I can't say enough good things about the Whatever. It's fun and it works well in all conditions.
