    Wallie
      Just Wallie it.

Since it burst on the scene a couple of years ago, the Wallie has inspired a generation of riders to see legit new lines in the park and street. The skate-inspired tips feature a steeper kick, so you can smash them over obstacles, press through gnarlier kinks and jam the board up walls and poles. Combined with a wide, stable centerbase and subtle uplift at the wide points to minimise hang-ups, you’ll have never felt so confident on the run-in.

        Flex

        3
        Soft
        Stiff

Softer snowboards are easier to press and won’t kick your ass if you make a mistake. Stiffer decks are more stable at speed and super responsive edge-to-edge. Choose your poison.

        5.8

Maximum volume for surfy vibes in the pow, or a smaller surface area for nimble freestyle performance. This number is calculated with length, width, 3D shape and surface distribution.

        Materials

        Glassing

Our traditional and time tested two-way weave of fiberglass is light, strong and responsive; keeping the board snappy without adding torsional stiffness.

        Woodcore

Our 50-50 paulownia and poplar woods blend for optimal strength to weight properties.

        Special Sauce

Central Super Tube. Hollow carbon core upgrades that are inserted into the core. The hollow carbon tubes greatly increase the woodcore’s pop and reduce weight.

        Carbon Lay-ups

The type and placement of fiberglass greatly influences a board’s flex and riding characteristics. Boards are built with a layer of fiberglass above and below the woodcore.

        Base Tech

Not a basic extruded base. It has the highest molecular content available for an extruded base. That means it’s super slick, durable and maintenance-free.

        Features

Triple Base Technology™ is awesome. The lifted sidebase areas at the widest points of the board make a lot of sense. The boards turn smoother and faster and it helps when you are not completely clean on your landings.

SideKick™ dramatically increases the sidebase uplift at the widest points of the nose and tail. This makes turn initiation even smoother, increases float in powder and handling of the board in rough terrain.

SuperTubes™ are hollow carbon core upgrades that are inserted into the core in 3 different configurations. The hollow carbon tubes greatly increase the woodcore’s pop and reduce weight.

We incorporated a flexible composite material into the woodcore along the 3BT™ crease points to dampen vibration at high speed and make your snowboard smoother in all conditions. Think of it as a top of the line suspension system for your snowboard.

        Chill and fun

Super happy with this board - very forgiving and catch free with great flex. Wallie makes me want to try new tricks and butters. Don’t remember the last time I had so much fun finding small bumps and kickers on the mountain, definitely turns the slopes into a skate park. Things to watch out for - board doesn’t behave well in powder as well as on the icy slopes as it doesn’t bite that hard and it is easy to lose control. Top finish seems to be fragile as other skiers and boarders have already taken a few small bits off from the top of the board. In general I highly recommend this board as it will help you discover new ways to enjoy snowboarding. A good but if it the only board or in addition to stiffer all mountain boards.

        2nd wallie

I bought a 2021 at the end of the season last year and cracked/folded the top sheet on the nose just eating it on a groomer. They covered it under warranty and sent me a brand new one in like a week. I get 100+ days on the mountain so I’m hard on my equipment. For sure would be dope for a park only board but riding it all mountain is too much fun. Other than the durability I have zero beef with this board. Super flexy and fun to ride. The base is really strong and easy to repair if necessary. Looks clean with my Scotty union contact pros.

        My little Wall-EE from Mars

This thing is out of this world, hence the name. Man, just pick it up. You can’t go wrong here. My precious little babe has received so many incredible compliments, and lemme tell ya, they are well deserved. I got this board for the 2021-2022 season, and it’s the second board i’ve ever owned. Well, I’m glad Bataleon found me, because they just earned themselves a dedicated fan and addicted customer. First off, Terrain park — 10/10. Second, Groomers — 10/10. Thirdly, Pow — 10/10 (she’s not crazy in pow, but we’re handing her a 10/10 because there is no other park board on the planet that can shred that squishy goodness as good as this board). The only thing this board is lacking in is a pair of rocket boosters angled at taking me and my gorgeous green martian named Wallie to the Moon. This is my second season, and this board has helped me progress very fast, giving me confidence to hit bigger hits and jib taller rails. The 3bt that every Bataleon board boasts is absolutely amazing. The board glides so smooth and edge initiation is a breeze. Some may assume that because this board is zeroed in on park, it’s groomer performance would be less than exemplary. This is not the case. If you were worried about picking up a board that is flexible, playful, easy in park, and somehow exquisite on groomers, then you have found the right board. You can bomb black diamonds on this baby, and it will hold and edge like it’s no-big-deal. The wide center base makes it extremely easy to rail ride, coming from someone who just learned how to ride rails, and the raised nose and tail makes for the most forgiving falls ever. Lemme tell ya, i’ve botched some runs badly, but the wide center base and raised nose/tail allows for a smooth comeback, even when you land backwards and in a press. Butter rolls are like something you’d see out of a Burton Magazine. They require little to no effort, and you could go spinning for days if you really wanted. If you felt so inclined, you could go spinning on that nose until you start seeing stars. The flex is just perfect, allowing for all types of freestyle kinks and tweaks whether it be onto a rail, off a rail, off a big hit, or down the groomers. It losses no advantages when going fast, even though most flexible park boards would not make it on the groomers. It rides every type of terrain you could throw at it will grace and elegance, and not to mention a whole lot of style. Bataleon has really struck home with this board, and if you’ve made it this far in my review, then just buy the board already. I’ve taken this board on just about 15 trips to the mountain, and the only wear and tear i’m seeing is a couple of chips in the top graphic. Best money I have ever spent.

        Ultimate jib stick

This board is meant for the park and it does it real good. I’ve never caught an edge with the 3bt. It’s just a monster on rails and medium jumps. If you want a board to level up your jibbing this is it.

        Buttery goodness

While having great flex, the board is sturdy for long rides on a variety of runs. It’s got great handling and features that allow it to move like no other board! Plus, it looks great too.
