      Electric performance.

The all-new Thunder Bolt takes freeride snowboard design to the next level. Our lightest ever core is paired with premium carbon-infused fibre, cutting edge dampening and a race-grade base that will leave your buddies in the dust. Be the envy of every lift line with this state-of- the-art all-mountain weapon, produced in strictly limited numbers and delivered in a custom-fitted travel sleeve.

Softer snowboards are easier to press and won’t kick your ass if you make a mistake. Stiffer decks are more stable at speed and super responsive edge-to-edge. Choose your poison.

Maximum volume for surfy vibes in the pow, or a smaller surface area for nimble freestyle performance. This number is calculated with length, width, 3D shape and surface distribution.

What’s this board’s natural home? Full send in the park? Elbows down on the trails? Or chucking roosters somewhere off grid?

        Carbon Layup

New for 2021/22 and exclusive to the Thunder Bolt, we’ve woven carbon directly into the fibreglass for the ultimate in high speed dampening and tip-to-tail response.

Our lightest 80-20 paulownia and poplar wood blend for the lightest strength to weight ratio.

        Special Sauce

Dual Radial Super Tube. Hollow carbon core upgrades that are inserted into the core. The hollow carbon tubes greatly increase the woodcore’s pop and reduce weight.

        Carbon Lay-ups

The type and placement of fiberglass greatly influences a board’s flex and riding characteristics. Boards are built with a layer of fiberglass above and below the woodcore.

        Base Tech

The fastest base money can buy. This base is produced with ISO-Sport 7000 black racing series and is what spandex-clad dudes have on their ski boards. No joke.

        Carbon Lay-ups

Precured carbon offers even livelier rebound than our regular stringers. We use it to stiffen the tail and improve drive through turns on performance boards like the Surfer.

Triple Base Technology™ is awesome. The lifted sidebase areas at the widest points of the board make a lot of sense. The boards turn smoother and faster and it helps when you are not completely clean on your landings.

SideKick™ dramatically increases the sidebase uplift at the widest points of the nose and tail. This makes turn initiation even smoother, increases float in powder and handling of the board in rough terrain.

SuperTubes™ are hollow carbon core upgrades that are inserted into the core in 3 different configurations. The hollow carbon tubes greatly increase the woodcore’s pop and reduce weight.

We incorporated a flexible composite material into the woodcore along the 3BT™ crease points to dampen vibration at high speed and make your snowboard smoother in all conditions. Think of it as a top of the line suspension system for your snowboard.

Backseat inserts are an extra set of inserts set 4cm behind the bottom inserts. This allows you to set your bindings all the way back, so you can keep floating on those deep pow days. By shifting your weight more back on the board the nose stays up and the pressure on you back leg is reduced.

        Stiff, quick and stable

I came from using a 158W Goliath (which is not a soft board at all) for the past few years, and the Thunderbolt 159W is noticeably and significantly stiffer and more stable than the former. It absorbs the vibration from the granular snow really well and rolls right through. The base does feel slicker as advertised - saying it because can tell a difference during skating
